My husband bought this for my birthday and I am so happy with this machine. My clothes have never seemed so clean. Love all of its features. I am also impressed on how is senses the weight of the load I have put in prior to beginning the wash cycle. The size of this tub is amazing, I can do a whole load of towels and not have to split up the load. The sounds that this machine makes, from when you turn it on to choosing the different cycles/water temps/spin levels... it is music to my ears... I would definitely recommend this machine for anyone who needs a new washer.

So Disappointed I could cry....

I purchased this Maytag washer because my original Maytag washer died after 19 years. I miss it so much I want to go and dig it up from the washer grave and find someone to fix it with new parts. This new Maytag washer is not worth the metal it's built with. I purchased my washer from Lowes. It's a hit and miss on if your clothes will be clean when they come out. I'm sick of it. I hate towels that don't smell clean. Yuk.... I'm waiting on anyone to tell me they want it so I can buy something else. This washer is not up to Maytag's standard and I know. Been a customer for over 60 years per the family. We want better out of you Maytag. Bring the old Blue guy back. Maybe that may help get some real quality in there. Yes, my dryer is getting ready to go on the blink as well so before you lose us as a customer all together please correct this problem and give me a date for a repair. Upset in Jersey....

Top loading and had a real agitator

I like the top loading washers and the agitator . I do not like the lid lock and the water restriction. At Least there Is a deep water setting I do not like the forced high efficiency restrictions but at least this washer gives the most personal choices of the washers on the market. I like the high spin cycle. I cannot comment on dependability which would be high on my list of recommendations because I just got this washer.

Machine is now about a month old and I am so pleased with our purchase. Was a little intimidated by variety of cycles and settings; but it pretty much runs itself. I'm old school obsessive about my laundry, this is more efficient than expected. Clothes are not only cleaner but have a fresher, softer feel, look brighter and whites are whiter. We came from a tiny house with a stackable unit and we can't rave enough about our new Maytag set. They are both so easy to use, we actually enjoy doing our laundry. Being a senior some appliances are difficult to operate but not our Maytag set. We couldn't be more satisfied. Bought this washer a few months ago. On second load, it ate a sheet! Had to call Maytag to schedule repair and they replaced agitator. Unless I wash everything on bedding cycle with deep fill option on, there's not enough water. Also, this cycle takes forever. Feel like I'm stuck with an expensive machine, that has lots of options that sound good, but options are not really usable if you actually want enough water in your loads. I am constantly fearful that it will "eat" more clothes too. Basically, I'm sorry I made this purchase.

We are delighted with this washer. It's very quiet, it's so quiet that I need to check to make sure it's still working. I never thought I would look forward to doing laundry, but now it's a joy. What a wonderful machine.

Bought this washer a few months ago. On second load, it ate a sheet! Had to call Maytag to schedule repair and they replaced agitator. Unless I wash everything on bedding cycle with deep fill option on, there's not enough water. Also, this cycle takes forever. Feel like I'm stuck with an expensive machine, that has lots of options that sound good, but options are not really usable if you actually want enough water in your loads. I am constantly fearful that it will "eat" more clothes too. Basically, I'm sorry I made this purchase.

Good and Bad Experience

Two & one-half weeks ago we purchased the washer and dryer combo. We liked the features and large capacities in both units. They both look nice in our laundry room. The part we don't like is both units are usually hard to start. One time it will be the washer, then next time the dryer. We follow all directions in order, including, for the dryer, taking out the lint screen again, turning the dial to desired setting, and push the start button and nothing happens. We also hold out finger/ thumb firmly on the start button for 10-15 seconds, and nothing happens! Next time it works fine. We'll most likely ask for a replacement pair soon.

Washer needs more water to clean clothes!

I am not happy with this washer. Water saving does not equal clean clothes. My old washer let me pick my water level. An agitator should rotate clothes through out the washer, not just move then back & forth in a little water. This washer allows you to watch the washer in action. Deep fill option only gives you a little more water, still not even close to what is needed to move clothes through out the washer.

Clothing Damage

The water sensing is a joke. There is not enough water to cover a load, and the so called agitator does not work well enough to rotate the clothing through the wash cycle. Even with the "Deep Fill" there is not enough water added. Wish I had kept my old washer.

Capability to do huge loads, comforters & bed spreads easily. Shorter statured people might find it difficult to reach to the bottom of the wash drum as its very deep. Other than that, I love it

I bought this wash machine for two reasons! Number one it's made in USA which is huge and if there should be a problem and parts are needed there won't be a waiting time for parts to come from another country. Secondly the reputation of a quality product. This Maytag washer cleans the clothes so well and it's quiet.

Takes Forever

This washer gets my clothes clean, but it takes forever. I've tried several cycles and they all take a long time - most washes at least an hour. I used the bedding selection for sheets and although the washer was only half full, it took 2 hours.

So quiet! Works great!

I've only had my washer for a couple weeks, but really like that I don't have to stand around and wait for the machine to fill with water, or dump detergent directly onto the clothes. I greatly appreciate that there is a cup to put the detergent, softener, and extra cleaning solution into. It really is a load and go machine. It works as well as my front load maytag did. I am vertically challenged, so its great that the tub is sooo deep, but I am considering getting myself a stool to stand on while reaching to the bottom more easily. :)

Our purchase was a great decision. We are very happy with our washer, it's features and wash load options. The soap fill location is excellent and controls are easy to use. The wash job on all fabrics has been excellent.

When we were faced with buying a washer, I was very nervous! People were having bad luck with some of the new washers. We were very wary of the new washers in the stores because we had read and heard bad reviews about so many. We spent time researching and looking at different models. Finally we decided on this model and hoped it would work for us. I've had no problems and our clothes are clean. I do tend to use the large water level but then i wash large loafs.

Hasn't even lasted 4 months

Washing machine won't allow you to go to certain settings, sounds go off constantly and won't wash. Tried turning off, waiting, then on again and same thing. Tried turning it off and unplugging then plugging back up and on again and same thing. Yes, it comes with 20 year warranty but what's the point when it's poorly made and hasn't even lasted 4 months. Now I'm going to have to call and try to get repaired which will be more money I'm sure. I can't believe I put my trust in this company. I had a Samsung that last 10 years before I had a single issue. I should've gone with my gut feeling and just bought a different brand. It's very frustrating when you pay so much for something that's not made to last but a few months before it malfunctions. I had high hopes after the brand was talked up by an employee but my hopes have been dashed and regret my decision.

Electronics problems

It was delivered less than a week ago. The first two loads worked correctly, but since then there have been issues with the electronics. when the lid lock is activated the time display and start button lights flash and the cycle stops. Sometime it will restart when the start button is pushed and sometimes not. The repair person is scheduled.

I Love My New Washer!
