I like the stove so far.... works great. Like the size of the burners. Timers are great. One drawback is the ease of cleaning the top. The grates somewhat interlock so if I need to clean the left burners. I need to remove the right grate first. Not a big deal. Just a little annoying ..

This is an awful gas range. I bought this Maytag because of the Brand name and the sleek design. However, once purchased there was some type of black fluid the came out of the burners. The middle burner only worked for about 6 months after I bought the range. I am so disappointed in this range. I believe you will be better off looking for a different brand.

Lifelong Maytag satisfied customer, not this time

I purchased this stove from a picture in a catalog as the showroom was empty during covid. Being a lifelong Maytag customer it felt like a safe purchase. Big mistake! I have always owned a full sized stove with all burners exact size with grates for each burner and able to control the size of flame. Whoever designed the small burners on the back row obviously does not cook. A tiny simmer burner is like having no burner at all for a larger pan. Not being very tall, it is dangerous to reach over the large front burner to access the simmer on the back when stirring gravy or puddings. Two smaller rear burners effect efficiency when cooking making it very difficult to use larger pans. Perhaps a taller person would not find this to be an issue. The front burners do not adjust the flame small enough and cause overboil often resulting in a mess. There are two heavy grates that cover the stove top. Being older the designer did not take into account the weight for an older person to lift. They are very large and cumbersome that could throw a person off balance. The single grates on older stoves made sense. The fifth oval burner in the center only produces a small flame that will take forever to cook something in a larger pan. Think boiling lobster it does not work and is cruel. The broiler does not work at all. The salesperson said the heat should be sufficient. He also doesn't cook. Hit a dead end there. I would have never bought this stove, however, the photos at the time did not show the tiny back burners or the oversized grate that could be heavy in only two pieces. I was shocked to see the fifth burner that essentially takes up space where the four larger burners could have been more efficient. It is impossible to center two large pans back to back over the burners. They just don't fit or line up on the stove top to provide sufficient flame on the back. I have been unable to contact Maytag and receive a response as seen in other posts as they say contact through Facebook or Instagram. I am not on either of these services. A real phone number to contact and speak to a live person would be great. I hate this stove. Wish Maytag would go back to tradition. The design was not broken and did not need to be redesigned (fixed).

Flimsy sheet metal, and very annoying Start Button

We replaced our 25 yr old Maytag with a new one...very flimsy sheet metal on the new...the old one was very solid. And the "Start" button is a pain....always forget to hit it...unlike the old one in which you just set the temperature...and wait for it to warm up....now with the Start button , we forget to hit and 10 minutes later we still have cold oven....Arrrgh!

Very poor quality, even for inexpensive oven

The ™€œlow™€ setting for the burners does not work - The flame is still at a medium level. The digital oven display reports 350 Fahrenheit when the real temperature is 250 Fahrenheit as measured by 2 different oven thermometers. Even after 15 minutes, the oven still is really only at 340 Fahrenheit. The repair man (because I bought the extended warranty) came out and said that the burners are just that way and that he could order new parts to maybe make the oven work properly. I purchased the range 25 days ago.

Only a month in and we are loving it. There is a problem, though. The oven door is a little off kilter, and heat escapes on the upper left side. A technician says there's no real fixable issue, but for an almost thousand dollar purchase, I would think it'd be perfectly aligned. It's not.

Foil covered knobs ruin the look of the stove!

We loved this range, purchased during Covid along with a Maytag dishwasher but now are so disappointed with the knobs. The knobs have a foil on them that is peeling and looks horrible. Replacement knobs are riculously expensive and don't include the back part which is also covered in foil.

I really like just about everything with this new range. I like how the grids cover the entire range and having the fifth burner in the middle ! The negative's would be the "orange" colored display and the fact that I have to pay and ADDITIONAL $90 plus to get the griddle which is considered and accessory which is why I only gave this a 4 star review.

Did have 2 small issues one with middle burner not sitting right on burner rocks back and fourth but fine to use(trying to see if warranty cover this) then second was burner height had to adjust was no simmer and very little difference between all the way high and low burn.

Lower drawer is not as high nor the full length of the stove so it limits the amount of storage for pots and pot covers, the black discs can show a water stain and grates are a bit hard to keep clean. These are not big issues. I would recommend the stove.

My meal preparation time has been reduced by 1/3. My new gas range is so much faster than my old electric glass top range that required 20 minutes just to get a pan of water to the boiling point. And now I have no boil overs, because the heat adjusts so quickly. The oven cooks evenly. Muffins, rolls and pizza come out golden brown with no brown edges.

I have been using this stove for the past 2 months and really like it. The oven works great for both cooking roasts and baking cookies. Maintains the correct temperature, doesn't burn or undercook. The cook top is great for sauteing and boiling. Also liked the fact that I can still light the burners when the power goes out. My only complaint is the burners do not turn down enough to simmer things long term. I had to buy some trivets to put on the burner when making things that require long simmer times.

Unfortunately, I feel that I made the wrong purchase. Since having the stove, the broiler has never worked and the oven never stays at the proper temperature. I tried to get one of their appliance workers to come but the appointments kept getting changed. I have had this stove for three years now without a broiler and have had to deal with an oven that never stays at the proper temperature. I gave up after trying to get someone to come, after 8 months. I felt that my requests fell on deaf ears. I have been in school for the past four years to become a nurse and do not make a lot of money to replace the oven, and feel that I should not have to replace it after only three years.

For the most part, we like this stove. The main problem is the oven is 50-70 degrees off. Waiting on a service tech to come out and recalibrate the oven. This should have been done at the factory, not on customer premise.

I don™€™t care for the sound of the gas being ignited every few minutes while the oven is on, but I am resigned to the fact that it is part of this range. I do like how quickly my food heats up compared to an electric range and would buy another gas range in the future if needed.

Okay, but could be better.

We™€™ve had this a few months now. It replaced a 25 year old Maytag 5770 range. I™€™d rather the hottest burners be at the rear, instead of having to reach over them, and typically the largest pots going, to stir gravy on the rear burner. I find the ignition of the oven as it cycles rather noisy. This is probably due to it being an instant light instead of the hot surface igniter of our old range. Overall, this is a much cheaper made range than our old one. Bottom drawer is small and inside edge is sharp. Burners are easy to clean if you have a spill or boil over. Don™€™t like that oven temp and timer aren™€™t shown at the same time, as on our old range. Having to press start every time you adjust temp is annoying. It works fine but could be better.

Good functionality but ...

We are pleased so far, with the functionality of the gas stove and particularly like the cast iron grill top. The middle burner is also good for the large canning pot. However, we are disappointed to find after the stove was installed that the paint on the stovetop was not done well on and you can see the grey metal through the paint on contoured edges. The storage drawer at the bottom is also a little flimsy and not suitabe for heavier pans.

I™€™m very pleased with my stove. Measurements are accurate. Only problem I have is that the model I chose does not have a volume adjustment on the timer bell. (Didn™€™t know I needed one!) The timer sound is so soft that it can™€™t be heard if the TV is on. Having to get a separate timer just to hear it, otherwise pleased.

Danger-easy to burn yourself

I purchased this 2 months ago from my local maytag store. This range should be recalled. Whoever decided to put the big burners in the front and the small ones in the back apparently doesn't cook. The flames aren't consistent, The handles on pots get hot, even on large pans, from the flames flaring. The oven takes forever to heat. I have severly burned my fingers by reaching for a pan. The flame is almost invisible to the naked eye. The oven makes a puffing sound (whoosh) when it comes on and it comes on and off often during heating. I called the dealer and he said that is normal????

Maytag stove

I am a Maytag buyer for years. I chose this Range based on features and size. The burners cook quickly and the gauges will lower just so far. Grates are heavy and look great. This will take time readjusting. The lower drawer is a bit shorter. I have only had this a few weeks so I have not tried other features. I would like one burner that cooks on low.

Getting Used To Adjustments

Bought this stove a month ago and getting use to it is taking some time. Had to order it, since white wasn™€™t available in the store. Didn™€™t realize the new layout of burners puts the larger ones in the front (my fault for not looking closely at the photo). Would have liked a smaller one in front for small saucepan for making sauces, etc. Also simmer seems to be a higher temperature. Oven chimes that it is preheated and it definitively is not. Need to let it heat up 10 to 15 minutes longer to get the the correct temperature. Had to have repairman out to adjust temperature. Oven does cook evenly, just need to preheat longer.
