Leaked and ruined my wood floors

After just a few years the pump seized up and then leaked all over my newly refinished wood floors. Customer service told me to use the chat bot (or one of two social media sites which I don't use) to get in touch. The chat bot told me I could file a claim if I had the unit services and sent Kitchen Aid the broke part via registered mail. So not only did the dishwasher ruin my floor, but I'm expected to PAY to repair it and PAY to send them the part to prove the damage. No Thanks, I've already replaced this low quality dishwasher with one from a Germain manufacturer.

I bought this dishwasher 5 years ago and the pump recently quit working. Having a major part go out is mildly annoying however the real issue is the pump didn™™t just stop working it leaked enough water under my newly refinished wood floors to warp them. I will NEVER buy another kitchen aid appliance again!

It's been 6 years I have had this particular model and it has a great design. Cleans my dishes well and is very spacious. I can fit everything in it and it all comes out super clean on Normal cycle wash, even though I have options to use stronger and longer cycles.

Everything works well. The top rack is horible however for stacking bowls. The botom of ghe rack is so uneven nothing stays put and bowls get turned over and fill with water. Dry cycle and was cycles do a good job. They are quite a bit longer than previous units we owned.

This is the most disappointing KitchenAid dishwasher out family has owned in 65 years. The inner components are all plastic. We™™ve spent hundreds of dollars replacing them. Everything started to fail just at the end of year 2 as the warranty was ending. The spring on the soap container broke and there no way to fix it. Recently a glob of some joint compound came loose and was found at the bottom of the machine. The wash cycle are too long and use excessive electricity.

never cleaned unless was on the longest cycle. Constantly clogged sprayers. Seals leaked. Pump failed. Heating element failed. Removing the food processor(grinder) whatever you want to call it is the single worst "cost saving" decision. Bought a Maytag with the food grinder. Spotless in 1/2the time with no clogged sprayers and uses way less power considering its only running for 2 hours. They are most likely all built in the same factory in China (the shell is almost identical) buttons are similar. Why should you have any brand loyalty if they are all made from the same parts.

Seven years since I replaced my 30 year old KitchenAid dishwasher with my 'new' one, and I chose well both times! This is SO quiet I have to check to make sure it's running. And my dishes are spotless every time. Love the Express Wash since I usually have pre-rinsed stuff in it and it saves water.

POD door doesn™™t work anymore, quit after one year. Other than that it works. Things just aren™™t built to last anymore. I don™™t know why KitchenAid would allow such a cheap part that is difficult to replace to be put on one of their machines with their name on it. I expected better, but just like all the rest.

5 YEARS AND STILL LOVING THIS! The only criticism is that the control touchpad is sometimes difficult to read. But this dishwasher cleans everything ALL THE TIME. I think I've had a couple dishes that had food stuck on once or twice, but that's when I over filled the dishwasher.

Bought this dishwasher 4 years ago. In the first year we had to have the pump replaced. After that it has been working well. The wheels on the rolling trays have broken and fallen off due to drying out. I had to find replacements for those. But the washing functions are working fine.

My dishwasher hard broke after 13 months with parts no longer available. Zero help from Kitchenaid who said i should have gotten an extended warranty. I did buy a warranty through Lowes but they had to refund my money which was a 6 month battery with them and i still never got all my money back. No longer do business with Lowes or Kitchenaid. Aweful brand

We've had this dishwasher for 3 years and are fairly happy with it. The rubber around the container that releases detergent came off the tracks and we haven't been able to get it back in properly so we don't use that anymore. The rubber seal around the sides sometimes comes off track as well.

We have not been happy with this model. We find the size and shape of the racks to be inefficient and poor for making the best use of the machine. I have had other machines that do a much better job at washing when dishes are packed in, but this one has trouble getting water circulating everywhere. Oftentimes it can't even get all of the detergent out of the dispensing cup. We have to do very light loads of dishes now, otherwise they just don't get clean at all. It's possible the pump is failing, but everything gets wet. It's just not strong enough to get between all of the dishes.

I've had this dishwasher for 3 years and it performs beautifully. Dishes are always clean. I don't usually scrap or pre-wash dishes, I just rinse them under the faucet and put them in the dishwasher. Love Kitchenaid.

This was a replacement for a builder-installed GE dishwasher. It washes well, never clogs, is quiet, and a joy to use. Love the top shelf for delicate items. It needs rinse aid regularly to dry dishes, but that is expected.

I purchased a kitchenaid dishwasher from Lowes with their extended 3rd party warranty. The dishwasher stopped working after 12 months and 3 days. Outside of KitchenAid warranty. I contacted the 3rd party warranty company who sent a repairman to look at it. It was determined the main motherboard was bad and kitchenAid stopped making that unit and it was no longer supported. He notified the warranty people. Both the 3rd party warranty and kitchenAid failed me. It took 7 months to get my original price back but they never paid me my $70 in taxes. When i went to purchase another unit, inflation kicked in and i had to spend several hundred dollars more. Called kitchenAid and was basically told in a nice way to take a hike. What a aweful company. I share my story all over social media because that is the only way my voice as a customer can be heard. Do better, support your product when you no longer make it. Loved the machine until it packed up and quit.

This was bought for us by our grand-children, who were living with us at the time. It served both families well for the time they were here, and has continued to serve us well after they moved to their new home, although it gets quite a bit less use. It is great how whisper quiet it is, the primary feature we asked for when they bought it.

Manufactured March 2022, purchased May 2022, should have replaced it months ago, about 1/5 of the dishes come out dirty. Stingy on water, stingy on power, motor failed after 18 months. Uses so little water that it does not adequately flush the tiny sump, so if you don't use it for two or three days, your kitchen will smell like a septic tank. I would dump water in and cancel/drain to remove the stagnent water. The vendor sent technicians out twice in the first 45 days, everything checked out (turbidity sensor, cycles, etc.), both said "rinse aid" is the recommended solution. Right. Does not dry dishes properly, they come out wet not the setting. The plastic pump motor is the size of a small fist, it is underpowered, dishes come out dirty. The utensil tray has gunk on it. It looks nice inside and out. It is quiet. I believe it is designed to be so water and energy efficient it doesn't wash dishes properly. Is this the present/future standard for appliances? I'd be pleased to pay for water and electricity for a machine to properly wash my dishes, that's why we have dishwashers, right? Mine was a poor excuse for a dishwasher, I regret the loss of my $967. I just replaced it with a different brand that does not share the pump/drain/sump architecture. Can't wait for the solid waste company to pick it up and get it out of my sight.

For the most part this does a good job washing as long as I rinse off the dishes before they go in. I did have the drain pump motor already go out when I had it for less than three years. I wish I would have just spent the extra money to get another better brand.
