I bought this dishwasher five years ago and have had it serviced three times. The washing arms easily become clogged and are impossible to clean or empty. (the holes in the arms were too few and too small)After five years of having to redo dishes I gave up and bought a new dishwasher.

All the settings make it easy to choose just what my dishes need with each load. Filter is easy to reach and clean. I like the silverware caddy (can be cumbersome to load for some people), utensils always come out clean because they don™€™t nest with each other. Adjustable top rack makes room for taller items on bottom rack. I cannot say enough positive things about this dishwasher! It™€™s been trouble free for 4 years. Very quite too.

My dishwasher has two problems. The strap that holds the d/w door at various points has been broken twice and can™€™t be repaired according to the repairman. The second issue is the controls are located so they are not viewable in a dimly lit kitchen.

had to replace the plastic rack holders every 6 months, than the dam thing blew out something underneath and leaked all over and ruined our kitchen floor. It is now gone to the junk recycle yard. So glad to be rid of it. ig mistake thinking KitchenAid was high quality it is not its junk.

I™€™ve owned this dishwasher for four years. I love the features and the way it cleans. My only complaint is there are plastic clips that hold the top basket in that constantly get brittle and break. I have replaced them four times now. Other than that, it™€™s a great appliance.

Very sad that my dishwasher failed with less than 5 years of use. The pump needs to be replaced. Repair Cost is estimated to be >$35™€¦.50% cost of replacement. I can see why Kitchen Aid doesn't make automobiles.

I bought this nine months ago and I absolutely love this dishwasher. The extra top rack is so convenient for extra silverware or small items. I am able to load many more items in the dishwasher because of the top rack. It is the quietest dishwasher I have ever had. People comment on how quiet it is, and question if it is even running! Sometimes I have to put my ear to the front of it to make sure it is running. Great purchase!

Broken under warranty with no service

About a year after purchasing this dishwasher, the rubber tubing pulled loose inside, then shortly after that, the side pieces of the top rack broke. I have been using just the bottom part of the dishwasher as we have so many expenses now as my husband is ill with terminal cancer. Also. I have to put 2 pans underneath it as it leaks big time too. I wrote a complaint about this earlier but never had a reply. It has been a big disappointment as I bought this dishwasher thinking KitchenAid would be a good brand.

I purchased this dishwasher in July 2019 and up until a week ago (August 2022) it was great - efficient, quiet, everything a dishwasher should be. Then the motor quit. I'm sure this is a fluke because a motor should not go out after 3 years. Needless to say I am unhappy. It is costing $577 for a new motor (tax, labor, service). Should have bought the extended warranty.

Purchased this dishwasher one year ago and we were immediately impressed with how clean our dishes came out. Glasses sparkle and dishes and silverware shine. A young man we know at the store where we purchased the dishwasher had recommended it to us when we were looking to replace out old one. He said he had quite a few complimentary comments from customers who purchased this model. After buying it we can see why. Our next dishwasher, when we need one, WILL be a KitchenAid.

Bought 2 years ago and was extremely happy UNTIL the motor/heating element broke. I felt a two year old appliance should not break. The people at KitchenAid said they would pay for part but I must pay for labor. I did not feel this was fair so I climbed up the ladder and after many phone calls and being on hold each time for at least 45 minutes each time I reached a reasonable person who said KitchenAid (Whirlpool) will cover all. It is about 1 month since this happened and dishwasher is working fine-I would have given it 5 stars if it was not a hassle to get it fixed but now only 3 due to circumstances-If dishwasher keeps working fine for many more years-then I will revert to 5 stars-I would still recommend this dishwasher because I think I may have received a "Lemon"

Loved all my KA dishwashers, but this one does not dry the utensil holder, no matter what dry button I press. Puddles remain on the handle and lots of water on the bottom which leave a trail of water on the floor as I go to put the utensils away, knives and forks are dry, however. Very inconvenient ! ??

I am really disappointed in this product. My dishes come out of the dishwasher dirty. When my Maytag went out call mom I decided to buy a KitchenAid because my mom had had them as long as I can remember and loved the dishwasher. There are places in this machine by the door that I swear I have not ever seen water. I think it™€™s trying to use as little water as possible. So it takes a good four hours to run a load of dishes. I really am disappointed because it was a very expensive machine. If I could have my Maytag back, I™€™ll take it back in a second

Don't Waste Your Money

Noisy, doesn't dry dishes, doesn't clean very well. I called tech support and even had a service call. They said to add ketchup to the wash...didn't work. I couldn't hear my TV over my dishwasher, very noisy. After 1 year, I bought a Bosch and I'm very happy now. Don't waste your money on this model, it's an engineering disaster.

We bought this dishwasher about a month ago mostly because it was the only one in stock and our old one had died. The brand I wanted and many of the alternative choices were not available for many months due to the pandemic. The salesperson showed us this one and gave it a really good review. I was skeptical but we were in need of replacing the old one. I am pleasantly surprised. This machine cleans so well, has a dirt sensor that helps save water and is so much quieter than our old one you don't even know its running half the time. Love the silverware rack! A very good option in this price range.

I bought one and it was not draining properly. I had a service tech here 3 times in 8 weeks and even with a pump replacement it still failed. The store where I bought it graciously replaced it with the same model and it works perfectly.
